Description

We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical assistance and support for end users. The role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues to ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 1 & Level 2 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows/macOS operating systems

  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues

  • Support email systems, antivirus, and standard business applications

  • Perform system upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance

  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and password resets (Active Directory)

  • Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and replacements

  • Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation

  • Ensure compliance with company IT policies and security standards

  • Provide on-site and remote support to users

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field

  • 0–2 years of experience in Desktop / IT Support (Freshers can apply if trained)

  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, and basic networking

  • Hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting

  • Basic knowledge of LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, VPN

  • Familiarity with ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Freshdesk, Jira, etc.)

  • Good communication and customer-handling skills
